SPRINGFIELD, Mass. November 16, 2024 – Wellfleet is pleased to announce Lincoln May has stepped into a new role in the workplace benefits division as its Workplace Business Development Leader.

In his new role, Lincoln will lead the growth of Wellfleet Workplace by strengthening relationships with key distribution partners and launching Wellfleet Services. This new initiative will harness the capabilities of Wellfleet’s Lighthouse system to expand the reach of the industry’s leading platform.

Lincoln brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, focusing primarily on employee benefits. His areas of expertise include expanding distribution through alternative channels, as well as a deep understanding of general agents, associations, and professional employer organizations (PEOs).

In the first half of his career, Lincoln held various underwriting roles with increasing responsibilities, including ownership of profit and loss (P&L). He has worked with several major carriers, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and The Hartford; and has spent several years on the brokerage side with Marsh and Hub International.

“I am excited about the new opportunity to expand and diversify the Wellfleet distribution model by enhancing our wholesale distribution approach,” Lincoln said. “Through Wellfleet Services, we will also explore creative ways to leverage our technology and reinvent the administration of voluntary benefits for partners seeking technology and product support.”

In addition to implementing new channels, Lincoln’s role intends to expand Wellfleet’s strategic broker partner relationships to continue bringing voluntary products, innovative technology, and uncompromising service to the market.

“Lincoln has been a crucial part of Wellfleet’s success for the past several years, and he understands the value partnerships bring to the market,” said Drew DiGiorgio, CEO of Wellfleet. “Lincoln will assure that we continue to serve our clients and brokers while openly pursuing new and creative opportunities.”
