Former Willis Towers Watson National Practice Leader brings more than 20 years of voluntary benefits distribution experience to Berkshire Hathaway carrier.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (Feb. 1, 2023) –‑ Wellfleet, a Berkshire Hathaway health and accident insurance company, is excited to announce the hiring of voluntary benefits industry veteran Mark Hebert. Hebert steps in as Head of Distribution to lead sales and distribution efforts for Wellfleet’s Workplace Benefits line of business.
Starting with his first role as an Army officer, Hebert’s career reflects a history of leadership and increased responsibility in mission-critical growth businesses in both the carrier and broker spaces. Following 15 successful years with ING/Voya, he most recently transitioned to consulting with Willis Towers Watson (WTW) before quickly rising to National Practice Leader for Voluntary Benefits.
In his leadership role at WTW, Hebert supported both mid- and large-market consulting teams and clients to develop and implement employee value-focused voluntary benefit strategies. It’s this broad experience combined with proven sales success that was most appealing to Wellfleet’s leadership team.

Hebert will acquire Wellfleet’s Core Market, National Accounts, and Emerging Market sales teams.
